Recycled thoughts, Contacted Harris Teeter corp, Confirm their policy on recycling plastic bags, Dispel rumors?

This morning I contacted Harris Teeter corporate with a question:
“I am a long time customer & my mom retired from HT.
What is your policy on recycling plastic bags.
One of your checkout people seemed confused yesterday so I asked an asst mgr. I know.
She said that you did.
News stories say that you do (Gboro NR).
However, there are some news stories on the internet that say no.
I try to use cloth bags as much as possible.
