My maternal grandfather felled the trees, milled the lumber and built his own house.

Years a go the house was demolished to widen a road.

I was able to salvage some of the lumber.

From one of the insect affected timbers, I milled down significantly and produced some useful lumber.

From one of those pieces I milled and assembled a frame with a young photo of my dad for my mom.
