Grandkids bookcase made from recycled boards of curbside disposal, Zero cost kids love and not in landfill
Granny says: “Waste not want not.”
A neighbor recently moved out of state and discarded several items.
One was a garish monstrosity of a shelving unit in a huge L shape.
All I could see was free lumber and the Grandkids needed a better, a real bookcase for their large book collection.
I dismantled it and used approx 1/3 of the lumber. The rest was used for another project to be shared soon.
It is a small bookcase and pretty easy to build.
I used existing paint and hardware and thus did not spend a dime.
The kids love it and it is not in the landfill.
